Thrift Store Furniture Upcycle

Follow these steps to makeover your own furniture pieces.

This was a small table with lots of potential.  I knew it as soon as I saw it. I had the perfect piece of decoupage paper for it.

It started out looking like this:

I cleaned it good with TSP Alternative first to get rid of all the dirt and grime.  Fusion's TSP Alternative is the all natural equivalent of the chemical Tri Sodium Phosphate, which is a pretty harsh chemical.  I love that Fusion's version is all natural but still very effective. 

I had this piece of decoupage paper just waiting for the right project.  I applied Fusion's Decoupage & Transfer Gel first, then I placed the paper on the table top and brushed another coat on top to seal in the paper.

Then I painted the rest of the paper in Fusion Mineral Paint Coal Black. 

I love the way this little table turned out.
